Socktober – one way to help

It’s so easy to feel paralyzed by recent events, but there are concrete things you can do to help our hurting world. Here’s one: October is Socktober Month. Socks are the most needed and least donated article of clothing in homeless shelters. Please consider bringing in new socks for men, women, and children throughout the month of October. Place donations in the box outside the Undercroft.

Saturday, October 28, 1:00-10:00pm – Scrapbooking Fundraiser

Do you have a scrapbook or craft project you wish you could work on uninterrupted for hours? Now is your chance! St. Peter’s is hosting a Scrapbook & Craft Fundraiser on Saturday, October 28, from 1-10pm. The event will help raise money for Melissa Miller’s funeral expenses. (Melissa was St Peter’s parishioner Sandy Schill’s sister, who lost her battle with cancer in early October.) Each participant will have a 6-foot table, access to craft supplies and Cricut machine, plus a lot of other fun and creative people to chat with and gain inspiration from. Digital scrapbookers are also welcome! Table fee of $50 includes: use of 6 foot table, dinner, drinks, dessert, snacks, goody bag and 5 tickets to the Chinese auction. Please sign up in advance by clicking here.
