We are trying something new this summer.
Beginning Sunday, June 26, 2016, we will be using An Illustrated Earth: Celebrating God’s Creation for our Summer Sunday School. Each week focuses on a different story, discussion and coloring activity with the children and youth. We believe that An Illustrated Earth is flexible, adaptable, fun and a good fit for summer.
As the children in our community get ready to head out to camps, vacations and lots of outdoor playing time, An Illustrated Earth will help them remember to celebrate God’s creation while they’re enjoying the outdoors this summer. They will be able to read Bible stories, engage with the stories creatively, reflect on questions that will engage their imaginations and have a coloring project as a group on the large 36″x 24″ coloring posters.
We are looking for a different parent or two to sign up for each of the 8 weeks we will be holding our one-room Summer Sunday School. Please sign up here online or at church.
St Peter’s Church School
Children and Youth are part of the life and spirit of St Peter’s Church. On Sundays during the school year, children ages pre-K to teen may attend Church School during the 10:15 Service. The classes help guide them as they learn about the faith and hear stories from the Bible.
Church School Classes:
Upstairs (in nursery classrooms):
- Beulah Land (PK – 1) telling the stories of our faith
- Godly Play (Grades 2 – 4) godly playing with the stories of our faith
Downstairs (in Memorial Room):
- Emmaus (Grades 5 – 9) discovering Jesus in our midst
Family Sundays are held on selected Sundays throughout the year. Instead of attending Church School, children join in the 10:15 service, which features a Children’s Sermon and a simplified Children’s Liturgy.
We ask that all church school families complete this brief registration form.
