    Wednesday Bible Study

    Our Spring Bible Study is a short 4-week look at the book of Philippians. Join us Wednesdays at 10:30 in the Memorial Room, May 10-31.

    Sunday, June 4 – Pentecost Sunday

    This Pentecost, you are invited to join our fellow Episcopalians at a festive Eucharist service at St. John’s in Bridgeport. Service is at 10 AM. (St. Peter’s will have a Morning Prayer service at 10:15 AM for those unable to go to Bridgeport. No 8 AM service that day.)

    Monday, June 5, 7:00-8:30pm – Book Discussion Group

    Join St Peter’s Readers as we talk about Tribe, by Sebastian Junger. Wine and snacks abound, and new readers are always welcome.

    Parish Tag Sale – June 9 & 10

    It’s time to start bringing your donations for our annual tag sale! Clean items in good condition should be brought to the Memorial Room for pricing beginning May 8. (Please no overstuffed furniture or large appliances.)

    Camp Washington Summer Camp

    Camp Washington is the Episcopal Church’s picturesque retreat center in the heart of Litchfield County, and has provided idyllic summer escapes for children and families for 100 years. There are still openings for kids ages 5 to 16 for this summer! Open House is May 21. Please visit campwashington.org for more info. Rev Kurt will be the chaplain for Teen Camp 2 in July.

    St Peters Church School Pageant

    St Peter’s Church School

    Children and Youth are part of the life and spirit of St Peter’s Church. On Sundays during the school year, children ages pre-K to teen may attend Church School during the 10:15 Service. The classes help guide them as they learn about the faith and hear stories from the Bible.

     

    Church School Classes:

    Upstairs (in nursery classrooms):

    • Beulah Land (PK – 1) telling the stories of our faith
    • Godly Play (Grades 2 – 4) godly playing with the stories of our faith

    Downstairs (in Memorial Room):

    • Emmaus (Grades 5 – 9) discovering Jesus in our midst

    Family Sundays are held on selected Sundays throughout the year. Instead of attending Church School, children join in the 10:15 service, which features a Children’s Sermon and a simplified Children’s Liturgy.

    We ask that all church school families complete this brief registration form.
